Los Angeles area summer hostels

HI-Martha’s Vineyard Gets Solar Shower

Visitors to HI-Martha’s Vineyard can now bathe in solar-heated water.  A 3’ by 8’ collector has been attached to the roof of the Hostel’s bike shed, and heats water for the nearby outdoor shower.

35th Annual Midnight Madness Fun Bicycle Ride

Midnight Madness offers one of the most scenic 20 mile routes for bicyclists anywhere.  Cycling around Harbor Island and Shelter Island offers riders unique and spectacular views of downtown San Diego.  And of course the ride wouldn't be the same without the crazy contests!!  The REI Light the Bike and Alaska Airlines Costume Contest brings out the creative and fun side of bicyclists.
