HI Honolulu is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood which is only a half block from the University of Hawaii in Manoa Valley. The patio with its garden of native plants is the "coolest" room which enjoys tradewinds with the occasional rainbow! The Honolulu hostel contains separate male and female dormitory style accommodation with shared bathrooms and showers with a capacity for 40 guests. There are also two private rooms available. Other facilities include a fully equipped self-service kitchen, on-site laundry facility, Internet access, and a TV and lounge area.

There are a myriad of lectures,movies and art displays at the university. You will enjoy hiking in Manoa Valley to wandering through the Lyon Arboreteum, down to Manoa Marketplace, and cruising down in Mo'ili'ili to the shops and pubs.
